The government of Ontario has reinstated the OHIP coverage for out-of-country (OOC) emergency hospital, health facility and doctor services retroactively to Jan. 1, 2020. The reinstatement includes the same reimbursement rates and the same coverage criteria that existed prior to the cancellation of the OHIP out-of-country Travelers' program earlier in 2020.
